2013 NAWLEE Star & Shield Insurance Exchange Scholarship

Star & Shield Insurance Exchange (Star & Shield®) has once again sponsored a scholarship for attendance to our upcoming conference in Denver, Colorado, July 31-August 4, 2013.  Star & Shield is a Florida-based home and auto insurance company dedicated to serving the law enforcement, corrections, fire rescue, EMS communities and their families.

In August of 2010, Star & Shield co-sponsored the NAWLEE luncheon with Motorola held at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference in Orlando, FL.  During the luncheon Mr. Durham was seated next to one our past presidents, Susan Kyzer.  Mr. Durham and his colleagues were so impressed with NAWLEE that they not only became a member but asked what else Star & Shield could do to assist NAWLEE.  The opportunity for the scholarship was discussed and Star & Shield is honored to provide this support. 

The $1,000 2013 scholarship will be awarded to someone in law enforcement who lives in the state of Florida and is a first time NAWLEE attendee.

Scholarship recipient must live in the state of Florida, be in the law enforcement field and be a first time NAWLEE conference attendee.  Recipient will be randomly chosen by NAWLEE from all completed entries.  Please contact Roe Manghisi, Executive Director at info@nawlee.org by May 15, 2013.
